Project management became a passion of mine a year into my role as a marketing and sales specialist for both Hoistech Ltd & Chain & Rope Suppliers. Seeing an idea being pushed into a project and managing the project from start to finish was an invaluable experience. Projects such as creating a new website for Hoistech, creating a new workflow for our manufacturing log etc.
In 2021 I was promoted to database management and continuous improvement specialist. This year alone we have totally revamped a number of sectors within the business. Areas such as accountancy, warehouse, sales, purchasing and the service team.
The business as a whole was disjointed in terms of communication across all sectors. We decided to revamp this by creating workflow and processes for the business to follow. This would give each sector some responsibility and accountability for any and everything.
I project managed all of these projects and continuously strive to improve on what has already been implemented. Scheduling meetings, creating and monitoring action plans, communicating with members of staff on a regular basis and implementing new processes with workflows on Visio and detailed processes on Microsoft Word. This is then communicated with members of staff via email and in person. The processes are then monitored via KPI's and adjusted till the processes are running as smooth as possible.
